Greeks Whistle words instead of speaking words

While we’re used to speaking and reading words to communicate with family members and friends, some people whistle. Turns out whistling to create sounds goes farther in rural places like mountain villages. And this sort of language dates back thousands of years. In Greece, the whistling language is called Sfyria. But different whistle languages also used in Turkey, among the Berbers in the Atlas mountains of Morocco, and elsewhere.
